What made me feels like writing this post? Inspired during a doctor's visit lately, when I stumbled into a workmate in the same clinic. He was injured from a biking weekend. That reminded me to have this spray handy all the time, especially for outdoor activities.

My partner usually has this handy, even during a photog hangout session. This recalled an experience over at Perhentian Island some years ago, when a photography friend of ours slipped from the rock and had a minor cut. Upon applying this spray, he was basically jumping from head to toe! Overall, it was effective, besides having antiseptic use, it applied a layer of waterproof coating. Preventing bacteria and water onto the wound.

I recently had a slight cut on my finger. This safe my energy in dressing the wound every now and then. In fact, I recovered in less than 5 days. Certainly worth an intro, in case one yet to find it useful.

Custom Made Wetsuit @ Bangkok Thailand - SportPro

I told myself, I need to blog this after my dive trip of the year. I told myself for the past 3 weeks, I need to blog this out over the weekend. Unfortunately, I have been procrastinating... It has been difficult for me to glue myself on the desk these days, as the weather is just too hot! (cheapo me, or rather environmental friendly me do not wish to turn on too many air-conditioner at home).

So, here I forced myself to complete this post... after pending since March 2011, on my last trip to Bangkok.

This was introduced by a friend, ever since I took up scuba diving course. After some difficult experiences in putting myself onto some rented suits, I gave up! Decided to get myself a custom made suit. What's different, hehe... it is best to have all zipped for the hands and legs opening. It made life easy, as easy as 1 2 3!

If any of you wish to have your custom made wetsuit, you may find your way here to Bangkok. The location is pretty easy to find, located at walking distance on Sukhumvit Rd. - Thonglor interaction. Will supply the detailed address at the end of this post.

If you are weekend tourist to Bangkok, it may be difficult for you to test and collect your wetsuit in time. It usually takes 1 week for fitting, and another 1 week for it to be ready. Thus, it will need at least 2 weeks to collect your good after measurement taking and deposit placement. So, plan ahead and give them a call earlier if you wish to pre-arrange an order.

Though it may be walking distance from the nearest Thonglor BTS station... for some reason if you are staying nearby the area, taking a cab may be a better idea (quoted from someone), since cab fare within Bangkok is rather affordable. Once you get into Soi Thonglor 5, you may see the little shop located somewhere next to a logistic company (if I remember correctly).

Rattan Furniture @ Gunung Rapat, Ipoh

My life has been relatively interesting these days, I would say I am 'flooded' with all kinds of new gadgets, in a month or two, I had upgraded most of my electronic tools :D. However, I gotta adjust myself with new operating system, totally new computing system. By now, you would know which OS I am now into, the Apple's Mac! I gotto learn brand new applications to suit my everyday lifestyle. A friend told me, you will love it! Honestly, I have started to love it... life wouldn't be perfect without its clear & beautiful screen.

Okie, that's all for a little introduction of my new toy. It was rather challenging for me to start blogging with this mackie, a name I gave him. Minor photo editing, photo resizing, typing, etc... I had to search and learn all over again :) bare with me, will slowly get it there.

On my latest trip back to Ipoh... (Ipoh oh Ipoh, I gonna miss you!) We stumbled into a rattan furniture shop as my mom wanted a rattan chair. And we being we, ended up with something rather unnecessary :D, another accessories for my home - the Rattan Swing Chair!

Milky Corn @ Cameron Highlands

Told myself... here is an easy post to fulfill my urge of blogging. It had been a while since I last held my keyboard hitting towards Blogger's page. Life had been just hitting the ups and downs, not to be mentioned here, anyway.

In my recent trip to Cameron Highlands (it had been 2-3 years since I last there), I discovered a new species of fresh corn sold. Previously pearly (珍珠) corn was the greatest choice of all, where now this Milkly corn tasted even better. Its corn flesh are all in pure milky white. Indeed, without having to company a steamed corn with salt or butter, it tasted just equally good. Thanks to the agriculture technology we have.

In case you would like to try one, the uncle whom we used to buy corn from at Cameron's Kea Farm has this. We bought slightly earlier with RM10 for 11, in less than 30min where the crowd had gained, he sold for RM10 for 8.. :P Seems the price fluctuate even faster than the market stock exchange.

Have a try. I wonder if I am able to plant them in my backyard. hehe.

Shop for your Garden @ Sg Buloh

I'm not a landscaper, I'm not a gardener, but somewhat a home may need some enhancement to enlighten life, once in a while. Thus, we may be spending some money for affordable water feature, water fountain and some decorations. It's always easy to shop for such item in a modern DIY shop, hyper furniture mall like Harvey Norman, but those place can sell at super pricey price. If you don't mind paying for convenience and comfort, it is all well and fine. But if you are someone whom enjoy hunting for quality yet reasonable priced item, it may be worth travel a bit further, shop under the hot sun, hunt for the best choices ever after.

Jalan Sg Buloh, a place where you can be spoiled of choice for landscape and garden necessary products, be it water features, plants, soil, grass, pots, etc...

We stumbled into several shops along the road, and finally landed on this best choice after all. This is the main factory selling water features, stone / cement made type. They have several branches located nearby. This particular one does sell variety of types, and most importantly they can do some minor custom cut if you wish.

Here's their name care. Look for Tropic Garden Design, Lot 71 & 72 along Jalan Sg Buloh. There are a few huge elephants in front of the shop.

Luxury Home Furniture @ Setia Alam

This is a *free advertisement* blog post for a friend of ours.

In any chance if you are staying around Setia Alam, the so call "in" township in Klang Valley, and if you are happen to shop for some home furniture, which you don't feel like shop far away, you may drop by here. The CupCakes...

Lite & easy blogging time... I enjoy the morning feel at my study room... especially when the birds tweaking out there. Back to the topic, I have had Cup Cakes twice in the month of December. Ya, I know... Cup Cakes are the "in" thing in the market lately or some time ago. We used to enjoy Cup Cakes in the office before, where a colleague will generously bake us some.

This was my cousin's wedding cup cakes. The icing topping was nice, though was a bit too sweet, but that seems to be the cake taste we used to have when we were young.

MAS Temptation Ground Sales

Being an Enrich member and frequent flyer for the past few years, Enrich point collection and redemption is always a must before it expires every 3 years. Because I had a couple of points expiring this year, and I am yet ready for a air ticket redemption this year, I had instead redeemed gift vouchers for the expiring points.

However, one like me would find it troublesome to travel all the way to Subang airport Terminal to redeem / purchase from their Temptation (so called) Boutique, full name as MAS Golden Boutiques Sdn. Bhd By the name of it, one like me would think that the outlet shall be in a nice shop, something like the MAS ticketing counter or so...

Without further thought and study, I hit myself straight to Subang Skypark Terminal, which is formerly known as Terminal 3 before flights were shifted to KLIA many years ago. Upon reached the car park, I walked myself through the overhead bridge... recalling some olden memories, when I need to travel back home from each Uni semester breaks, CNY holidays, etc... it was always the sweetest memories ever of hitting the airport, airplane and back home!

This is how the terminal looks like today. Looks cool and cozy in there right? Of course, the crowd is much lesser than before.

I hit myself straight to the i counter. Hang on... I was told Temptation Boutique is not in this building... where on earth will it be?

Oh dear... I forgot to take picture after arriving at the destination. As per explained by the lady at the i counter, Temptation is not in this building, and it is quite far from here (means not within walking distance). Sorry, upon hearing that, I again forgot to take down the GPS coordinate of the old MAS building.

So, in case you would need to be there... here's the detailed location (by address and directions).

Mind you, I find it difficult to locate the exact address and telephone no. from the MAS website.

So, how to get there? - from the direction of KL/Subang Jaya, once hit the roundabout before approaching Skypark Terminal, look for an overhead bridge with MAS advertisement (it should be after the runway bridge). Take the first left exit after that overhead bridge. The building is rather old.. check in at the guard house for your visitor pass, and walk up the stairs 1st floor at the nearby building to the gate.

Oh, by the way... don't expect much selection from the choice of goods. There might have limited stocks to choose, and don't expect a nice showroom unit for display. The goods are all displayed just on several glass shelves. :P

A Day out in Singapore - Part 2

After a quick chill out in my room, with the curry puff as tea. I headed out to Orchard Road's Atria Shopping Mall to meet up my sis. We hopped from one mall to another, she helped me to hunt for the only stuff I wish to buy during this trip. 1) My diving wetsuit 2) A working shoe from Charles & Keith 3)... can't remember :P

After walking for couple of malls at Orchard, I still didn't get a single item. Sis then brought me to Plaza Singapura and continue hunting. We ended up in Daiso, the SG$2 shop and she ended buying the most... hehehe... I was introduced a kind of Chinese pork bun (扣肉包).

Without noticed... I actually skipped my lunch that afternoon. We then headed to another Mall at Novena...

That's when we stopped by for a drink.. healthy fruit juices! That's one thing good about malls in Singapore, they sells all kinds of fresh fruit juices and its easy to get. We had a rock melon juice (in yellow) and another mixed Pineapple + Apple + Watermelon (in orange).

That was a quick into before we headed off for dinner.. that will be in Part 3. Oh ya, while we were waiting for a ride outside Novena mall... I saw this signboard for Old Hong Kong Kitchen!! It seems having the same registered logo, with the restaurant we have at Imbi, KL. I wonder if their servings are the same... :-?

Mar 21-22 Weekend Event @ Toyota Showroom nationwide

It's another weekend.... what's there out there? I received a letter from Toyota this week, informing me of an offer for those cars falls under a particular year of purchase, could receive FREE one year roadtax if I renew my insurance policy with them.... Since my insurance has yet expire, I would only need to register myself with a letter issued. I would use them for roadtax redeem when it comes November this year :)

As a loyal customer (at this point) to Oriental Capital insurance company, ever since I bought my car from PJ Sec 19, Toyota Showroom, without failed I had renewed my car insurance with them. Not too sure if its fortunate or unfortunate, I had my car's accident repair claim done without much hassle since I had bought my insurance under-the-same roof. Well, partially due to their after sales service too, after being close to 7 years of customer to this sales showroom, we could noticed there are still a few familiar faces of their employee. Of course, as they had expanded business couple of years back, there are more unfamiliar faces around.

Annick Goutal Perfume Launch @ Fukuya Japanese Restaurant

I don't normally border of such invite to function like this, especially when I would expect it will surely be a "sale" type of product launch. Their target is mainly aiming to sell you their new launch product, or off the shelf current products.

Anyway, the 3-8 (busybody) me decided to pay them a visit. Since I work nearby Imbi area, where the restaurant is situated. There were 2 reasons for me to stop by, 1) The Japanese Restaurant - Fukuya's website seems to be attractive, 2) Was trying to find out an uncommon gift for my friend's wedding.


I dropped by with a friend to the function place around 630pm. Didn't quite expect the function place seems to be quite narrow. After registering ourselves at the counter, got ourselves a door gift as above.... I then walked myself to their perfume counter and had some sampling and asked the sale person some questions.

We tried a couple of perfume, which most of it tasted so-so. In our opinion, generally the smell was not "catchy" and it feels as if its like some other ingredients, i.e. black pepper, soap, etc... However, I would say their bottle is seems unique and its box and wrapper looks quite elegant.

In summary, we didn't stay long, since the function place is small and crowded. Observing the setup and place of the restaurant, we then went off after 30min stay at the place. Overall, they had organized a great product launch which incorporated credit card company to get most of the guests. However, it was just not my taste and type of perfume I am looking for.. sorry and too bad! Can't close a deal with you.

Dated Magazines @ Damansara Cineleisure

It was not my intention to drop by any shopping centers today, but it was fated. Situation didn't allow me to be dropped back home on a Saturday afternoon, when I planned to take myself a break from a miserable weekdays work, which had basically stressed me out these days. Causing me sleepless nights, even on a Friday night!

Anyway, it was a free n easy shopping for me. I enjoyed the walk alone, exploring Cineleisure which I had never been to except for my last Birthday celebration @ Tony Roma's. I walked myself from The Curve, skipping the weekend flea market for my later agenda.

I tried to look for attractive afternoon tea place, but failed. Basically, I was still hunting for my lunch at the time of 3-4pm today. As I walked around the mall, I found a place at the Basement which sells lots of dated magazines at very affordable price. As low as RM5, you could get some dated Interior Design Magazines, Fashion, Food, etc...

Most importantly, they are imported International magazines. Too bad they only have English and a lil portion of Japanese magazines. Else, I will be more than happy to grab some Home DIY Taiwan magazines, which had been my favourite ever since I was there in Taiwan last May 2008.

So, here's the store. Check it out if you happen to look for some useful magazines, which even if its dated, but not too far dated... such as Travel, Food, Automobile, and so will be a nice bargain place to stop by.

I then had my afternoon tea @ the apartment, The Curve alone. Sitted myself at a nice lil sofa at the front corner. The environment looks nice from outside, but one thing I don't quite like is their air-conditioner. I felt stuffy sitting at the corner. Anyway, the food was OK... I had a very heavy sandwich meal at a late afternoon around 5pm!

Shopping @ Labuan - Handicraft Market

Guess most people who had been to Labuan, will only thinks of Duty Free Shops when it comes to shopping @ Labuan. Though, I admit we could see many Duty Free Shops, especially in the Mall as well as nearby areas of ferry jetties.

Probably only handicraft lovers will know that Labuan has its handicraft market too, guess the stall had exist since I was a kid. This market may be also known as Philippino market, as its selling item are mainly origin from Philippines. Anyhow, getting unique craft item like sea shells, pearls and so at this market place is not a bad idea too. Furthermore, its just located next to the main fresh market of the island.

So, what was our aim this time? It was to shop a gift for our friend's Birthday this month. We bought a sea shell decor stuff plus a string of pearl for own artwork. For ourselves, we have mini congkak, which cost only RM16 each, where its beads made of small lilshells. And, 2 set of lil shell-made curtains, which cost only RM18 for 2.

Other stalls around are those like this, selling unique antique or traditional items like Keris, rings, and other accessories.

Besides handicraft, I had bought myself a pair of cloth for Baju Kurung / Baju Kebaya Labu or whichever name they give. Basically is Malay traditional cloths. I found the pair of cloth was quite nice, and most importantly it was cheap. It was only RM30 per pair. I bought a set and went couple of shops next door to tailor it. Talking about tailor, you could get more than 10 stalls who tailor these Malay wear. I observed around and choosed the one which I like most... tailor fee cost me RM38.
