My Ginger Plant

It was a surprise indeed. Am always so lazy to move this box of plant at my backyard, not until lately when was 'forced' to do so. Finally, I knew how much of ginger I had planted in this box of soil.

Back to my previous post written last year, I found my ginger flower.

This time round, I found my ginger! I finally harvest them... imagine, all and all, there was about >1 Kg worth of ginger found at my backyard. Could last me months of ginger consumption. Hehe...

Here are the proofs!

Mulberry "Tea" Leaves

I miss my mulberry tree!!! oh yeah, it has now turned to a tree from a bush, unfortunately I would need to leave them back :( Before leaving them, I had harvest their leaves and further transform them into useful item - mulberry tea leaves!

Here was what I did. Firstly, pluck the leaves and soak in water then rinse. Then, dry them up.. then place the leaves into microwave!!

What a great idea taught by a friend. It's so convenient, instead of having to wait for the sun shine in order dry them up.

Here's the end product. It smells so good.... probably I should improve the leaves by cutting them into tiny little leaves.

Cheese Cakes !

Guess I had lost my momentum in blogging lately... probablyI feel shy of utilizing my neighbor's WiFi everyday... poor me has not even get my TM Streamyx internet connection back. It's almost 3 weeks! That will be a separate issue to bring on later, will see how much more time I will need to wait.

OK, since its Friday.. and the weekend has started... let's have my 1st writing Last-in First-out (LIFO) ! This is the latest hot-baked cheese cake from the oven...

My house is now full with Cheese Cakes !! There are all together... about 7 varieties??!! (I had lost count in fact). The one I remember most is the rum and raisin cheese cake... it tasted more like fruit cake... probably the rum and raisin taste had covered up the cheese taste.

Further on (as I remembered correctly), there were carrot cheese cake, apple pie cheese cake, baked blue berry cheese cake, and.... was plain cheese cake (oh no, I lost my memory). I like the apple pie cheese cake the most, if only the apple could have tasted better... its just as much as I like McD's apple pie !!

Oh by the way, when I had the slice of cheese cake this morning, it from from my fridge. Guess what, the smell blended well with my box of durian in the fridge. Believe it's time for a Durian Cheese Cake ! To those who involve in this cake-baking session, probably its time to try out new recipe. ... hehe, the 'those' obviously does not include me, I am definately not a cake-maker :P

Next on the menu was lemon cheese cake and chilled blue berry cheese cake. I hope that is all for the weekend, I don't wanna dream of cheese cake in my dream :P

Yummy Hotdog @ Ikea, Mutiara Damansara PJ

I think I am addicted to the Hotdog served at the exit of IKEA, Mutiara Damansara PJ. IKEA is a famous Swedish furniture mall, most will know it sells many kind of nice, practical, modern design of furniture. Many loves to shop here for ready made furniture too... It has been a while since I last visit the store, it was because I don't need new furniture as I don't think my current house could fit anything more :P

Anyway, I visit the store couple of weeks back. As I was hoping for a tea time break after my 'window-shopping'. Upon exit of the store, I found they sell some snacks at very reasonable price. Combo set of a free-flow carbonated drink + hotdog (bread & sausage) for only RM3. Hotdog only for RM2, and another combo of a free-flow carbonated drink + curry puff for only RM2.

Great deal.... and I like the hotdog so much. It's unlike normal Ayamas local sausage, and free-flow of carbonated drink just nice for 2 persons' share. Back to the hotdog, they allow you to 'decorate' your share with unlimited pickles, onion, mustard, chilli and tomato ketchup. I like the fine chopped onion + mustard... yummy... feel like having one now.

Probably its the deal that drew my appetite, coz its sort of a cheap tea time meal.

Lunch @ Restaurant Gembira Taman Megah, PJ

Since I am going to lost my internet connection in a couple more hours... *sob *sob... I would better continue my weekend blogging activity as soon. Starting up with another food blog.

It was a planned route for lunch, since we have to drive all the way from Kota Kemuning to PJ. Might as well visit some new lunch place, instead of the normal coffee shop we like at Paramount garden. I found this Lui Cha stall from a food blog, introducing how worth it is, I might as well give it a try... hunting the road name from my GPS... tada... it is near Fatty Crab! I knew it should be the corner coffee shop around the area. Noticed my GPS does introduced good Sarawak Laksa. I had read another food blog introduced Sarawak Konlo Noodle too.

Unfortunately, I missed the boat... by the time I reached the noodle stall, all kinds of noodle was sold out. No choice, I ordered a Lui Chai (mixed vegetable rice) to share...

I found the Lui Cha was not as nice as I expected. I should have ordered the Taiwanese noodle instead. Anyway, this serves pure vegetarian dish. Believe it is worth introduce to my vegetarian friend :P.

I then observed around what others ordered. This particular pork noodle stall is kind of famous too. I noticed my next table aunty ordered a pork noodle covered with pig's skin... wow!! This can be my friends favourite, should introduce her to this stall one day.

Other than that, I noticed the Char Kuey Teaw stall is famous too... believe its worth a try. But I didn't :P, may be next time.

[Updated separately] This is the Sarawak Konlo noodle I introduced earlier.. paid a 2nd visit shortly after the 1st one. Hehe..
